Tricia's Personal Statement
In 1996 I was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer. The next year of my life would revolve around a mastectomy, being involved in a study due to the aggressive form of chemotherapy I would be receiving, and reconstruction. An admittedly terrible time in my life inspired me to reach out to other cancer patients and offer services designed to assist patients and survivors. I know firsthand what it feels like to go through this ordeal, but more importantly I know how it feels to regain your self esteem and go on with life. If I can help ladies go through such a demanding time in their lives and make them feel better about themselves and about life, then breast cancer was worth it.
